CrossFit Open 17.2

The CrossFit Open 17.2 was 12 minutes of hell. Even the scaled version. I don’t like pull-ups in isolation, let alone after two rounds of punishing 50 ft walking lunges. I take my hat off to any accomplished CrossFitter who completed the RX version of this workout.

The CrossFit Open 17.2 started well. A gentle warm-up consisted of backwards lunges, Sit-ups and Med Ball Cleans.

20 Backwards Lunges w/ Hands Over Head
10 Ab-Mat Sit-ups
5 Med Ball Cleans 10/8kg

CrossFit Games Open 17.2 ScaledĀ (AMRAP – Reps)

12 Minute AMRAP

2 rounds of:
50-ft. weighted walking lunge
16 hanging knee-raises
8 power cleans
Then 2 rounds of:
50-ft. weighted walking lunge
16 chin-over-bar pull-ups
8 power cleans

M: 35-lb. dumbbells
F: 20-lb. dumbbells

* alternating between hanging knee-raisesĀ  and chin-over-bar pull-ups every 2 rounds

I did 97 reps
